This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just prior to Thotar provides a taming Rod for the Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will give you a series of three taming rods, every one is different and lets you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and at last an Armored Scorpid. More Help

Upon getting accomplished the taming Component of the Quest chain, you need to head to Orgrimmar check it out and talk to Ormak Grimshot in the Valley of Honor so that you can unlock anchor your pet handling skills: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Eventually, remember to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet abilities that you need to give to your companion pet.
